SCHLEICH WILD LIFE - HAWKSBILL SEA TURTLE

The Hawksbill Sea Turtle glides elegantly through the Caribbean Ocean. It uses it's front flippers to skillfully swim through the waves and knows how to take advantage of the currents. If you're lucky enough to encounter this beauty while diving, you'll surely never forget it! You're in with a good chance of meeting this enigmatic sea creature near coral reefs. That's where the sponges grow that it loves to eat. With it's pointy beak, it picks the plants delicately from the corals and enjoys it's meal.

The thick shell of the Hawksbill Sea Turtle is a reddish-brown colour that stands out against the deep blue ocean. The front and back legs are also patterned brown and yellow. With it's black beady eyes, the sea creature looks really beautiful swimming through the surf. Maybe you can get a closer look if you offer it something tasty?
