This piece features the figures of a couple seated across from each other, their heads and hands touching. The man is in a cream shirt and dark pants, the woman is in a cream dress with a full skirt. Figures are affixed to a round, cream wood base, carved with filigree of hearts, containing a musical element.

Piece measures 17.7cm. Plays Tchaikovsky's 'Love Theme from Romeo and Juliet'.

This tender sculpture of young lovers is now a Musical, playing Tchaikovsky's familiar "Love Theme from Romeo and Juliet". As the figures turn around each other, you get a different understanding of their shared feelings from every angle. The musical base is carved with a pattern of hearts and swirls, adding interest and elegance. “I wanted to sculpt a young couple, finding romantic love – the butterflies and uncertainty, the chemistry and electricity – discovered when you’re in each other’s presence. I wanted the piece to be tender and intimate, elegant and quiet… Since the pose is derived from dance, I also wanted it to appear to have movement as you look at different angles. There are three touch points – their fingers on both hands, and the tops of their heads.
