Kilner bottles are made for homemade drinks, sauces, cordials and infused oils. This guide covers each style, using Kilner's own product information, so you can pick the right size and look after it properly. Shop the range in our Kilner collection.
Round clip top bottles
These bottles have a stainless steel clip and a silicone seal, which Kilner says is engineered to give an airtight seal every time. They have ml volume markings on the side. Kilner says they are suitable for the dishwasher.
- 300ml: Kilner suggests sauces, salad dressings and infused oils.
- 600ml: Kilner suggests vinegars, syrups and infused oils.
Square clip top bottles
Square Clip Top Bottles have a traditional square-bottomed shape that Kilner describes as space-saving for the pantry. They also use a stainless steel clip with a silicone seal. Kilner suggests them for sauces, infused oils and cordials. Unlike the round bottles, Kilner lists the square bottles as hand wash only.
Note: Kilner says its clip top bottles, round and square, are not suitable for carbonated liquids.
Juice and Sauce Bottles
Kilner designed the Juice and Sauce Bottle for homemade passata, yoghurt, freshly squeezed juice and flavoured milk. It is made to fit inside a fridge door. It has a wide neck for easy pouring and refilling, capacity markings, and a one-piece lid with a round label for use-by dates and notes. Kilner says it can also take its two-piece replaceable lid and screw band system.
Oil Bottle Set
The Kilner Oil Bottle Set has two 600ml bottles in a powder-coated steel rack. Kilner says the bottles have measurement markings and non-drip stainless steel pourers, for oils, vinegars and pouring sauces.
Drinks dispensers
For entertaining, Kilner's glass dispensers have a built-in tap. Choose from the 3 litre Drinks Dispenser, the 5 litre and 8 litre Round Storage Jars with Dispensing Tap, or the 5 litre Clip Top Diamond Dispenser. Kilner says the Round Drinks Dispenser Stand and the replacement taps (standard and stainless steel) suit its 3, 5 and 8 litre dispensers.
Filling and caring for Kilner bottles
- Sterilise before preserving. Kilner says never to pour boiling water into its bottles. Follow our sterilising guide instead.
- Use a funnel. The Kilner Straining Funnel has a long stem for narrow-neck bottles and a removable straining disc. Kilner says it is dishwasher safe.
- Check the care label. Round clip top bottles are dishwasher suitable, but square clip top bottles are hand wash only.
